Showdown
An online coding competition where entry fees fund AI education in Tanzania.
Showdown is Voice of Calling’s coding competition. Students solve problems in Python or Scratch in a live online event: problem-solving and computational thinking, with the fun of a contest.
It also pays for something. In 2025, every $5 entry fee went to our AI education work in Tanzania, so students competing here were helping students learning there.
How Showdown 2025 worked
- Who: students in grades 1 to 8 competing in Python, and grades 1 to 3 competing in Scratch.
