Voice of Piece
Connecting African art to the world, with respect for artists' rights.

Many of the painters we work with have painted quietly for years, with little recognition and limited materials. Voice of Piece exists so their work can be found, credited and fairly paid.
We connect Tanzanian artists with people around the world who want to live with their art. Each artist has a home of their own online, with their name, their story and their paintings. Their work reaches buyers through our shop, and the artist’s name, rights and payment go with every piece.
What an artist receives
- A website of their own. Their name, story and work on their own page under voiceofpiece.org.
- A place in our shop. Their work offered to buyers worldwide through voiceofpiece.com.
- A written agreement. Clear terms on credit, pricing and payment, agreed before anything is sold.
For artists
Voice of Piece welcomes new Tanzanian painters. To apply, send photos of a few recent works, your name, and a short note about how and where you paint. The project reads every message and writes back. See voiceofpiece.org to get in touch.
Connected to Voice of Books
Voice of Books also works with Tanzanian artists to turn their original artwork into children’s picture books. See Voice of Books.
